The housekeeping issues kept the stay from being perfect. We still had plenty of time before check-out when a staff member knocked once and immediately opened the door. We were in bed resting and couldn’t react in time. They shut it again quickly, but it was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Another housekeeping staff member talked loudly on the phone in the hallway for nearly 30 minutes. With the poor soundproofing, the noise was quite disruptive. Even so, we were able to check out feeling generally positive, though the housekeeping staff’s attitude affected our experience.

The rooms felt stuffier and smaller than they looked, and the TV was placed so awkwardly that you couldn’t even watch it from bed. I don’t understand the room design. There’s no elevator, so I had to haul my very heavy luggage up two flights of stairs. With no in-person reception, I couldn’t even ask for a room on the first floor.

Our flat is tiny, so I tried putting my 75-year-old mother up here for a week. It was a disaster. The rooms were tiny and poorly air-conditioned, the wifi didn’t work, and the check-in machine malfunctioned. Neither check-in nor check-out went smoothly. The service staff were among the least friendly I’ve ever encountered, and there’s no lift. How can a “hotel” with no barrier-free access be approved? The last straw was cleaning staff entering the locked room despite the do not disturb sign. Never again.
