Residence Inn by Marriott Munich Ostbahnhof

Residence Inn by Marriott Munich Ostbahnhof was a very disappointing stay, with no follow-up, apology, or reply to our requests. The front desk never picked up the phone, and customer service was practically nonexistent. Our room was dirty, and although a note said to ask reception for cleaning, we did so several times and it still wasn't cleaned for three days. Basic cleanliness and communication were missing, and this didn't feel like the Marriott standard. It's the worst Marriott I've stayed in, with poor service and no accountability. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms are cozy, with well-equipped kitchens and nice tubs in the bathrooms. Ours had a great view of the nearby ferris wheel. Breakfast was really good, with fresh fruit and juices every day, and room service was decent. The train station is very close, and grocery stores are right next to the building.

I’m a Titanium Elite member, and this was easily my worst Marriott stay. There was nobody at the front desk when I arrived, so I had to go to a nearby Moxy to check in. Residence Inn Munich Ostbahnhof initially refused my service dog and asked for medical documents, which I understand is not allowed under Marriott policy or applicable law. The room hadn't been properly inspected: there was dust and trash under the sofa, and the TV didn't work. It wasn't worth the points, and I regret staying here. Avoid this property.

Breakfast had plenty of tasty options, and the service during my stay was outstanding. I also liked how convenient the location was, a short walk from the train station with a supermarket in the same building. My room was very spacious, with a lovely bathtub and really comfortable beds. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely return and recommend it.
