Hotel Wallis

A guy came into the room between 6 and 9 to watch us sleep. It felt strange at first, but we ended up enjoying the company, he was such a nice man. Then someone started making a loud noise while watching what seemed to be Dr house. The cleaning service took my favourite rag, and the water pressure wasn’t strong enough, so my log took three to five flushes to go down. I’d recommend it.

The bathroom water kept cutting out, sometimes halfway through a shower and sometimes completely. The lift was also out of order, and we were repeatedly told it would be fixed, but so far during our stay it wasn’t. They put us on the seventh floor. We got help with our luggage only after repeated protests, and then only with two of our five bags. There wasn’t even a phone in the room to call reception. This was completely unacceptable. The hotel should be closed.

I was very sick with a fever, and the cold in the room was painful. There was no heater, and the TV didn’t work either. When I went down to ask for a portable heater and maybe a kettle for tea, they offered an extra blanket and hot tap water, which was totally useless and heartless. I can’t understand how this hotel has a 4 rating. It was horrific. I was meant to stay two nights as part of a tour, but spent the next night at a nearby hotel that was a proper place. Don’t waste your money. This place is a dump. I’ll also let your company know it falls way below the standard, especially since I’ve traveled with them twice before.

The staff were incredibly rude and the service was horrible. Guests have to take out their own trash and make their own beds, and the rooms are cleaned only once a week. On our last day they told us to move two floors up. We said it was our final day and we didn’t want to move our luggage. The staff member slammed his fist on the table and stood up as if he was about to fight me. Extremely arrogant and awful. The rooms were disgusting too: dead bugs in the ceiling light, hair on the pillowcase, a dirty toilet seat, stained sinks, and black sewage marks in the bath. The keys are still old, like it’s the 50s. It’s 2025, for God’s sake. Do not come here.
