We had a wonderful stay the night before my wedding at Eberbach Monastery. My best man and I were pleasantly surprised by the bright, spacious room and how spotless it was. It was furnished with lovely attention to detail, and we really enjoyed the large, beautiful outdoor area. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They handled my specific requests right away and without hesitation, and were extremely helpful. Thank you for the lovely stay, and all the best for the future.

The apartment was quiet, tastefully furnished, and had a very comfortable bed. One downside was the instantaneous water heater, which seemed to hold only 1-2 liters, so the shower water went cold now and then. Vines have partly grown over the shutters, leaving blackout curtains as the only option.

We loved the apartment’s design, which felt like a little hideaway in Ibiza or Bali :-). The Schuhmacherei is also ideally placed for exploring the Rheingau region, and we stayed there for two nights. The cleaning could have been better. There were cobwebs everywhere, and the furniture had dust that looked like it hadn’t been wiped away in a while, making the place feel a bit dingy. That’s a shame, because otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
