Gästehaus Kölblin

The owners put a lot of effort into making guests comfortable and were friendly to children. They sometimes accommodated special requests without an extra charge. We stayed in Apartment 2, a three-room unit with a living room, bedroom and bathroom with toilet. Each room can only be reached through the rooms mentioned before it. The place was very well kept, with mobile Comfee air conditioning and parking on the property. It's in the town center, and we only noticed traffic with the windows open, which didn't bother us as city dwellers. The breakfast buffet was enough for the size of the guesthouse and very good, with home-style food. They can adjust it on request. It cost €8 per day for each person aged 12 and over, with children up to 3 eating free and those aged 4-11 paying €5.50. The apartment was €85 a day. The value for money was excellent, thanks in large part to the owners' commitment.

I used to stay in the annex, back when the hostess still had single rooms there. It was always clean and nicely furnished, and all the rooms shared a kitchen with a fridge full of drinks and an honesty box. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. She's very friendly and competent. Now she only has two holiday apartments on the main road, and they're too large for me as a solo guest. Sadly, I'll have to find another affordable single room, but I can highly recommend this place to families and groups.

We slept well in the comfortable beds, and everything was clean. The owner was very friendly too. We had breakfast included, and it was really, really good, with everything from the local butcher and bakery. We'd love to return :)
