Luna Inn

The beds were comfy, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was great too. It’s a very nice place to stay, close to the railway station.

There was a New Testament book sitting on top of the safe, which made me smile 😁. The room had a modern look, and the bed was comfortable. The place was really nice and quiet.

Getting to the hotel with heavy luggage was a struggle. It isn’t close to the Ubahn, and Stuttgart’s roads are so steep that pushing bags up them was hard. The rooms also felt old and had a strange smell. Inside, cleanliness was very poor and the room keys didn’t work properly. In the middle of a very cold winter, the heating was turned down low even though the heater looked set to 5. Every time something went wrong, I had to go to reception. It was such a stressful stay. I booked three days and regretted it; I wouldn’t stay even one day if I could choose again. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

The parking information was wrong: the website said there was underground parking, but there wasn’t. At night, there was a strong marijuana smell by the entrance, and other guests yelled late into the night without staff stepping in. The room we got for the first night had two single beds, despite our booking being for a double. It also looked nothing like the professional photos online, with very old furniture and worn mattresses. The sheets had hairs on them, the towels were stained, the bathroom floor was visibly dirty, the soap dispenser was empty, and the WiFi didn’t work. We asked to change rooms for the second night and accidentally left a few things behind during the move. When we noticed that evening and went to reception, staff said they had thrown the items away. We lost about €100 worth of belongings, and the hotel showed no remorse. When we asked to speak with a manager to make a formal complaint, we were told they “weren't there.” We booked three nights, and the whole stay was a string of disappointments and financial loss from the moment we arrived. Between the hygiene, the missing manager, and our belongings being discarded, I’d call Luna Inn in Stuttgart the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Avoid Luna Inn at all costs.
