Hotel Maritime

Check-in is at 3 PM (15:00), and when I arrived there was no early check-in option, though they do have luggage storage. The solo room is small and not very soundproof. You can easily hear the main hallway, and depending on the room, you may also hear the stairwell and elevator doors. At this reasonable price, that was fairly expected. As others have said, there are no TVs in the rooms. I saw a heater but didn't notice AC, though I didn't need either during my stay. Hotel Maritime is in a great location, especially for the price.

The location is good, but that's about all I can say for it. I would give zero stars if possible. The rooms were too small, there was nowhere for luggage, and you could barely get around the bed without banging your knees. Sitting on the toilet meant your knees were against the wall. The hotel misrepresented the rooms and is scamming customers. It's not suitable for more than one night, and our planned five-night stay wasn't feasible in that room. We were told it was their largest double room. When we complained about the lack of luggage space, they told us to unpack a few clothes and store the bags downstairs at reception, then go back for clothes as needed. We left about an hour after booking, but they refused a refund. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go elsewhere.

The staff were so nice, and I’d happily stay here again. The location worked really well for us, with the water nearby and great restaurants and shops about a 10-minute walk away. The rooms are small and basic, but if you’re in Copenhagen to explore, you’ll be out seeing the city anyway. I don’t mind that there’s no TV since I just sleep, shower, and head out. Carrying bags upstairs could be a problem if that’s difficult for you. I took this photo just outside the hotel.

The staff were very friendly, but the room was dirty and extremely cramped, with barely space for luggage. There was a thick layer of dust on the fan, mold in the shower, and just a thin mattress pad instead of a mattress. The room was also very dark, with one window, and there’s no TV. Housekeeping has to be requested and costs extra. The elevator only fits one person, and it’s out of service from midnight until 7 a.m., so guests on the third floor should expect to carry their bags if checking out early.
