Sanchz Aqua Lounge Hotel by Chat Noir

The staff were very friendly, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. We came because another hotel in the same chain had recommended this one, and the experience was nothing like that. Since it was a holiday and there was only one cleaner, we couldn't check in until 5:00 PM. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy, and the room left a lot to be desired. The spa was closed for maintenance when we first tried to use it. It was still closed when we got back around 4:00 PM, then opened later that evening, so we only got two hours there during our whole stay. People brought beer and played loud music in the spa, which doesn't seem right when you're trying to relax. The dogs barked constantly, too, making things noisy and uncomfortable despite the hotel allowing pets. That morning there was no water at the tap, so we couldn't use the shower or bathroom. Reception said they were filling the pool, and we had to leave without showering. Breakfast wasn't a buffet. They served each person one roll, a slice of ham, a slice of cheese, and a little scrambled egg. There were four pieces of fruit, two watermelon and two papaya, and you could help yourself to coffee, though it was very bad. In Ecuador, where fruit rots, we asked for more after ordering hibiscus tea, but were told no. We even saw another guest bring their own bread for breakfast, which was truly shameful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

The breakfasts were delicious, and you can ask for them without egg and cheese or without yogurt if you're trying to eat vegan. The staff who served us were so attentive and friendly, thank you! There wasn't much to do outside the hotel, and getting to the city center meant spending a bit on a taxi. The hotel itself could be better, with that typical “liminal fear” lol. It was a welcoming place, especially thanks to the staff.

A couple of small fixes would make this a perfect stay. The mini-fridge was damaged and smelled bad inside, the room and wall had a damp smell, and the water pressure was very low. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

What stood out was how consistently they helped with guests' practical needs, from local information to handling things within the hotel. It's a 100% recommended place if you value attentive personal service and modern facilities that feel calm and suited to self-care.
