La Castellana Hotel

It was okay.

The service was attentive and excellent. I’d recommend it.

We were worn out after a long trip, but our room still wasn’t ready when we arrived, so we had to wait around in reception. Once we finally got in, the place was in a terrible state: mold in the bathtub and cockroaches in the closet. The food was even worse, and the service was awful. The receptionist was rude, and when we raised the problems with the manager, he rudely told us to leave because he was busy and would help once he was finished. This was the worst hotel in Loja, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it. The manager is a terrible administrator.

The bathroom had mold between the tiles and wasn’t clean, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. It’s an acceptable place, I guess. People say it won an award for its looks, but the architecture didn’t strike me as anything special.
