Oscar made wonderful breakfasts every morning, and Erick's restaurant suggestions were all an easy walk away. The staff were lovely throughout. I spent three nights here alone and felt safe the whole time, including on the well-lit walk back from the main strip and boardwalk. My room was upgraded when I arrived, and from the balcony I could see and hear sea lions. The pool was a relaxing spot, too. Seaside is conveniently located, and I only wish I'd stayed longer. I thought the Galápagos might be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but I know I'll return and stay here again.

The rooftop common area had a fantastic view and looked great for a group gathering. There was also a roomy pool and patio with loungers and a fun turtle-shaped pool. We liked being close to Playa Mann and the restaurants, shops and boardwalk downtown, while still staying away from the busiest tourist area. Our room was spacious, clean, air-conditioned and had lots of storage. Breakfast was fresh and made to order, and everyone on staff was kind and accommodating. The person who checked us in was polite, professional and knew the area well. We had the place nearly to ourselves in the evenings, since staff live nearby and head home; the locked front door and passcode took a little getting used to, but we never felt unsafe. One drawback: the air conditioner sits on the balcony and gets loud when you're sitting outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the stay.

We had a friendly, comfortable two-night stay, largely thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, the view from our room and the very comfortable beds. The pool area is lovely and visible from both the rooms and breakfast space. A sea-view room is worth choosing, with ocean sounds and sea lions audible in the distance without being disruptive. It all still looks reasonably clean and pleasant, though the hotel was probably nicer when it was first built. Some newer touches, like lamps and attractive ceramics, sit alongside details that weren't finished to a normal standard, including an AC plug, an old TV bracket left beside the new flatscreen, and ceiling lamps that hang down instead of being recessed. This is a different, more affordable setup than San Cristobal's two top-end hotels. It has only a few rooms and feels more like a B&B you can use as a home, with guests also free to use the kitchen. Staff prepare a simple, fresh breakfast there and serve it at the table. Staffing is very limited, which adds to the feeling of having the place to yourself. Hotel quality around here can be uneven: some places call themselves 3-4 stars but feel closer to 2-3. Maintenance needs attention. Old furniture seems to be patched up instead of properly repaired or replaced, as the photos show. There may also be plumbing problems, since the bathroom had a faint sewage smell. My positive impression is about the friendly feel, lovely view and comfortable beds, not the facilities. With more care and maintenance, this could be a great hotel.

Eric was wonderful and really helpful 👏. The hotel looks out over the bay, with a quick walk to the beaches or into town. I'd recommend staying here.

Check-in was quick, and the boardwalk is very close by. The rooms are nice and the service is extremely good. Mine had a TV, balcony and a large shower. Great value, and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a good deal.
