Boutique Hotel Cultura Manor

They let us check in at 8am even though we arrived early, and didn’t charge extra. We really appreciated that. This family-run boutique hotel also has great service and high-quality rooms, and we enjoyed our stay. My wife even arranged a massage while we were there.

Those three separate sitting rooms were beautifully decorated, and I loved having so much lounge space. Coffee, tea, and fruit were available all day, which was especially welcome while we were jet-lagged. The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. It’s a super-cute luxury hotel in a great location. There was a little noise, though the whole city is fairly noisy, and a large, obnoxious group event took place. Neither seemed to be the hotel’s fault.

We got in really late after hiring a car at the airport, which cost $40. They put us in a huge room in the main building, an upgrade, with a very high ceiling. The hotel was quiet and really cool. The owner is an architect and did a lovely job restoring it. The food was good, and there were lots of locals there. We also had the $10 lunch, which came with soup, a main dish, dessert, juice, and coffee. It’s close to the artisanal market too. We’ll be back.

The staff are extremely nice, and the central location could work well if you don’t mind noise. But I couldn’t sleep at 1:00am on Friday because a nearby bar had its music blaring. Then trucks started honking as early as 6am and church bells rang at 7am. If you want a peaceful night, this isn’t the place. The decor is trying for a colonial look, but some of the 80’s furniture is super ugly, in my opinion. This could be a top-notch boutique hotel, but it needs a lot of work. I’m hoping to get some sleep tonight…
