The beach is just around the corner, and the area feels safe and relaxing. The sea stays fairly calm, so surfing isn’t recommended, though kayaking and kite surfing are common and fit the laid-back atmosphere. Farallon Dillon hostel is about a five-minute walk away, with a restaurant, pool, and evening activities, all with amazing views. This place is a great escape from the city. The rooms and the shared open living room on the third floor have beautiful views. Thoughtful decorations and little details make the whole place feel really comforting.

Marie is a wonderful host who makes you feel at home, and the breakfast is delicious. This is a special place to stay if you’re passing through Bellanita, with stylish touches throughout the house and an amazing view of the sea.

Casa Kokopelli is a real gem, just a two-minute walk from the beach and close to other Ceviche Restaurants. You can even go along with Marie-Charlotte to the supermarket or the open market in Libertad. I’ll always treasure this stay for the views and for the incredible hospitality she showed every day. The terrace view is out of this world, and the rooms are comfy. Marie-Charlotte is one of the most caring, wonderful B&B managers I’ve met, triple A for hospitality! And her French cuisine is to die for. I couldn’t help licking my plate clean. This place really feels like paradise.

We had a wonderful stay with our family and dog. Marie-charlotte is the best, and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting the Santa Elena area.
