We spent hours on the terrace looking out at the other islands and Aswan town in the distance. The guesthouse also served us tasty meals and took us by boat to a nearby beach on the Nile. Staying on this small island was a unique part of our time in Aswan. Around 600 Nubians live there, there are no cars, and you have to walk everywhere. It’s the calmest, most relaxing place I’ve ever been.

Tigana and his family made us feel very welcome. The place is basic but clean, and the breakfast was delicious.

The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom, and the accommodation was comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and the service warm. Very good oriental breakfast.
