For the price and location, this is the best hostel I've stayed at yet. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, and the service is exceptional. Best hostel in Egypt, let alone Cairo.

I take responsibility for booking the wrong date, and I did apologize. Still, it was disappointing that the staff didn't try to help with a basic request or show any flexibility. This was about the lack of hospitality, not the money. Around 9 p.m. on the 24th, I called to ask about availability for the 25th and explained that we only needed somewhere to leave our luggage and shower before a midnight flight. Then I booked through Agoda. When I arrived the next day at 12:30 p.m., half an hour after checkout, they told me in a very bad attitude that I'd booked the previous night instead. They said they'd waited until 6 a.m., but hadn't called or texted, even though I had given them my details. I asked if I could just use the bathroom to shower without going into the room. They said it would cost another 600 EGP, even though it was only 12:30 p.m. and the next guest wasn't expected until later that night.

They were a big help with directions and tips for my daily outings, and arranged a pyramid tour with a wonderful guide. When I needed to stay longer, they found me another room. I was having so much fun that I forgot to get my covid test for the flight home, so my stay had to stretch out. I'll stay with them again when I visit Cairo. The rooms looked even better than I expected for such low rates. It was a wonderful experience.
