SUNRISE Alma Bay Resort

The food was the one letdown for us, with limited choice, and the Al a Carte was disappointing. Everything else was great. The hotel was clean, the grounds immaculate, and the staff throughout the complex were amazing and always ready to help. Be polite and you’re treated like royalty. The beach bar team served delicious cocktails, cold beers, coffees, and anything else you wanted, all with a smile. Those cocktails passed around on the beach were especially good. The service really was excellent.

We travelled with our one year old, and the staff were so kind to her. The chef at the pool snack bar gave her plenty of fresh fruit, and everyone knew her name. We never went hungry, even as fussy eaters, and nobody got sick. The all-inclusive food was okay. It’s a small, intimate hotel without too much noise or entertainment. The pool was lovely, and the clean, calm beach was great for spotting fish from the pier, including lion fish, puffer fish, and parrot fish. The place was clean, and the service was brilliant from check-in, cleaners, animation, chefs, security, and especially the waiters. We loved them all and would definitely return.

We enjoyed the fresh, varied food and plenty of healthy options. Meat was grilled outside each day, and the restaurant and bar areas never felt too busy. There were lots of group activities available, but no pressure to join in. Julka made us feel welcome and included, and special thanks to Emad for making the stay more memorable. From arrival, the resort felt relaxed and genuinely welcoming. Staff kept the greenery and grounds clean while respecting guests’ space, and housekeeping left our rooms spotless each day. Front of house staff were consistently kind and helpful, always smiling without it feeling forced. It was an easy, comfortable holiday, and we’re leaving rested, happy, and well looked after. Nihal, the restaurant host and manager, was so friendly and welcoming, and always made guests feel at home. The room cleaners did a wonderful job, keeping everything spotless and carefully prepared each day. At reception, Mr Wael and Mr Abdulfatah were professional, reassuring, and attentive from check-in through checkout. The hospitality and warmth of the whole team made this place special. The grounds and beach were clean and peaceful, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and the hotel was immaculate from rooms to shared areas. Meals were generous, flavorful, and varied daily. I especially liked the traditional Egyptian food, Egyptian breakfast, and homemade bread. I didn’t get a chance to try the Italian and Chinese à la carte restaurants, but based on the main restaurant, I expect they’re just as enjoyable. I left happy, relaxed, and well looked after, and would gladly come back. The stay was genuinely enjoyable.
