The food was fantastic, but everything else was worse than I could have imagined. The ship we got from the same company, with the same name, was nothing like the one in the pictures. The cabins were run down, smelled awful and were covered in mold. We’d booked six months ahead, yet they had no cabins for our group of eight, and the staff simply didn’t care. One bed had some of the dirtiest linen I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t have boarded even for free. I’ll avoid anything connected with Sunrise from now on.

I had to cancel the cruise because they couldn’t offer me another room. I booked through GetYourGuide.com and waited over an hour to get my cabin. It was dirty, with a rotten carpet, a dirty window, broken furniture and stains all over the sheet. They claim the accommodation is five-star. The staff offered no help at all and could barely speak English, or seemed to be pretending they couldn’t.

The views from the cruise while sailing from Aswan to Luxor were breathtaking, and we had a wonderful stay we’ll remember for years. It was our first cruise, and we’re already planning another. The staff really stood out: everyone we met was friendly, helpful and attentive. Mohamed at reception and Mahmoud in room service both went out of their way to make us comfortable.

The sailing was smooth, the food was good, and the staff were so lovely. We had a wonderful time, and the authentic decor added to the experience. I recommend it!
