Nuvi Mercado Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend booking here. I’d reserved a fully cancellable room because my visa hadn’t arrived, then cancelled well before the deadline when it was delayed. Even after I explained the situation, the hotel charged me the full room amount. The staff were very unhelpful and uncooperative.

The room wasn’t huge, but it was adequate, with a comfortable bed, a good shower and very clean surroundings. A bottle of water in the fridge would’ve been a nice touch, though the fee coffee in the lobby made up for it. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the location was very handy. It’s not a five-star hotel, but for the price it has almost everything you need.

The central location makes it easy to walk anywhere, but my seventh-floor room was purely functional, with no sign of decoration or welcoming extras. There wasn’t even a glass, just a paper cup. Don’t count on much from breakfast. Most baskets and trays were empty, and there was no fresh fruit. Everything else was packaged and highly processed. There’s no kitchen, and the woman serving breakfast wasn’t friendly.

We had a great weekend here. The rooms are a little small, but they worked well for the location. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and they let us leave our bags while we went exploring. Late checkout seems to depend on the day. The beach is under a 10-minute walk away. Would stay again.
