Castro Exclusive Residences SPA Sagrada Familia

The apartment was clean, spacious, and in an excellent location, and we enjoyed our stay on the exclusive package. But there wasn't any availability for the massage included in the booking, 30 minutes for each of four people. The refund offered was only 16 euros, which was really disappointing. It was also inconvenient that no staff were available onsite, so we had to sort out reimbursement by email.

The place is in very poor condition now, and the rooftop they promote hasn't been used in over a year. Its cushions were destroyed and so was the floor. I asked people from the gym next door who were on the rooftop, and they confirmed it. I booked a fifth-floor unit, but they tried to put me on the first. Several units had been listed online, yet when I arrived there was only one. The furniture in the entry, rooms, living room, and balcony was worn out. This isn't what you'll get from the pictures. They should lower the prices or stop advertising how the units looked five years ago.

The location was good, and the washer and dryer came in handy. Still, there was no service of any sort. We called twice and spoke to a cleaner once, but nobody dealt with the broken shower, lamps, or inadequate air conditioning. They promised more towels, but we didn't get enough. The advertised tidying every other day never happened either. As far as we could tell, we were the only ones entering the apartment while we were there. There's no manager onsite, so everything has to be handled by phone.

The roof terrace was excellent, and having access to the great gym just around the corner more than made up for the room being a little smaller than I expected and the balcony view being nothing special. The door system was a struggle for me too. Ask for a demo, because I found it tough even though I'm not stupid.
