Forget Me Not Barcelona

The street noise, mostly from loud people, made it hard to sleep on several nights. Even so, we loved Forget me not. It has a cozy boutique feel, and the location, cleanliness, breakfast, and friendly staff were all superb. We had a lovely weekend in Barcelona.

The main door opens onto bright, spacious corridors with elegant, minimal decor. It takes a bit of guidance to find the place on the first floor, but the staff give clear step-by-step directions. Our room had high ceilings, lots of light, big street-facing windows, and was bright and clean. Most attractions are easy to reach on foot or by metro, with great restaurants nearby. Breakfast was hearty, with a good spread and hot and cold drinks. Special thanks to Oscar, who kept everything running for guests, and the rest of the courteous team. It can get extremely noisy, probably because of the busy intersection and the metro running under the building, but we still had a great stay despite that.

The noise made it hard for us to sleep through most of the night. We were in room 25, on the corner, where street sounds go on around the clock; you can also feel the building or room shake from the subway directly beneath, or at least beneath room 25. Aside from that, it’s a very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff, simple but perfectly fine rooms, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. I’d have given it five stars if we’d been able to sleep.

The location is ideal for walking to most places, with lots of bakeries and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was stunning, with sweet and savory choices. The hotel is a gem: very clean, with spacious rooms and all the things we wanted, including a king-size bed, great shower, coffee, tea, water, a fridge, and a hairdryer. Thanks again to the staff for a lovely stay. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.
