Hostal 56

The room was quiet, and the wifi was free, but we found this hostal far too expensive even for its location. We stayed three nights, and our room was never cleaned or given fresh towels. They excuse not cleaning by saying it's not a hotel and that cleaning isn't ecological. The room also stank. Customer service was minimal: reception is in another building and mostly closed, so questions mean calling or using whatsapp. The lack of staff to answer questions or clean was appalling.

We couldn’t get any sleep for two nights because the room was so hot. The air-conditioning units are very old and don’t cool the rooms at all, despite the listing advertising air conditioning. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was old and dirty, and water from the shower ran onto the floor. When I mentioned it, the staff member told me there was a mop and I could clean it myself. I barely saw staff apart from when they handed me the key. It was a terrible stay, especially for what I paid.

I paid a decent price for two nights, but there was no hot running water at all. When I asked the owners for some compensation, they said there had been hot water. I wouldn’t have spent my time complaining if I didn’t need to. Don’t book here. I’ll never recommend it.
