Hostal Madrazo

I felt misled by the way this place was presented online. It was advertised as a three star hostal, but felt more like a two star pension, and I had to pay the full amount on arrival. The location is poor for getting to the city center, and the street and neighboring rooms were noisy because the room was badly insulated. Hot water was unreliable, the towels were old and rough, and the room wasn't especially clean. The staff barely spoke English. It was too expensive for what we got, so I filed an official complaint. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here when you can find somewhere better and cheaper.

A cozy, clean place with friendly people, and a good base for visiting the city.

Madrazo was a good stay. I'd happily stay there again in a heartbeat.

The rooms were quiet and had everything we needed. They were cleaned every day, with fresh towels daily, and the staff were attentive and helpful. The location is right in the city center, with a bus stop and metro station next door. If you're having fertility treatment at the EUGIN clinic, it's only 200 meters away. The manager gave us a perfect welcome, picked us up from the airport, and took us back there at the end of our stay. I'd highly recommend it for couples or families.
