This is a converted space in a building, not really a hotel. There’s no front desk or staff on site. At the door, I found a paper note asking me to contact a number on WhatsApp, which I don’t use. Someone eventually opened up and greeted me, though he wasn’t the host. The old, rickety elevator had to be switched on, then got stuck at the third floor and he had to force the doors open. I took the stairs after that, all five flights. I was offered two rooms. One had a nice balcony facing the street; I chose the other at the back for more quiet. It was clean, but there was very little toilet paper, hand soap, and a tiny bin with no liner. The desk had no chair, there were no hangers, iron or board, or hairdryer, and I couldn’t find any towels. The walls were paper thin, so I could clearly hear a neighbor coughing. I texted the host about the missing things and waited nearly 40 minutes for a reply. They clearly weren’t in the building. The response was “ok” and then “cleaning must have forgot,” with no apology. I only needed two nights and didn’t need the desk, but what a joke. The place seems to be run by people who don’t care or know how to operate a “hotel.” I also had to leave the guest tax in cash on the desk. I messaged the host the day before I left, and they didn’t answer until the next day. Service was close to nonexistent. If all you need is a bed, it’ll do, but beyond that you get almost nothing for what you pay. I’m being generous with two stars.

The host was friendly and easy to reach by phone. The room was okay, and the location was excellent. It was a little tricky to find because there’s no hotel name displayed outside the building.

Be careful! I arrived at the property at 8pm, but the door was shut and there was no doorbell. I called and texted without getting a response, so I ended up booking another hotel. Save your money and peace of mind and stay somewhere else.

We really appreciated the owner’s help. He let us leave our bags in his office for a couple of hours after checkout until it was time for our flight. He was very helpful, and the service and location were both great.
