Hotel Medicis

We stayed on the top floor and had a balcony. The room was clean and good quality, with a lovely outlook. I’d happily recommend both the hotel and its location.

We were able to book at very short notice, just an hour after I contacted them, and the staff were lovely, polite and fluent in English. The building is right by Av. De Gaudi, so Sagrada Familia is only a short walk away. Our room was spotless and came with a small balcony and a great view. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. There were two bottles of water, a kettle with coffee and tea at no extra charge, plus soap, shampoo, body shampoo, a hair dried and a TV. It also had a safe, an electronic NFC door lock and an inside deadbolt, which felt reassuring at night. Thanks so much for looking after us. We hope to come back soon!

We’ve used Hotel Medicis twice this month and were pleased both times. It’s in a convenient spot, and the staff are efficient, considerate and kind. The customer service has been amazing. Highly recommend.

The staff were nice, which is the reason I’m giving three stars. For a two-star hotel, it’s very overpriced. Our room was tiny, had no mirror except the one in the bathroom, and the floor was cold. At 150-200€ a night, I expected slippers. The location works if you want to be near Sagrada Familia, but that’s not the city center, and similar prices can get you a central stay. We requested two single beds and got one double instead. From the pictures online, even the twin option seems to be a double bed with two mattresses.
