Mercure Barcelona Condor

The terrace was spacious and had a nice mountain view, but some of the wooden boards were loose, so walking out there didn’t feel safe. Inside, the room was small and cramped for €200 a night, though its quality was acceptable. The bathroom was a decent size, and I liked the shower gel and shampoo, but there was no bidet. Apart from a bathrobe, there weren’t any room amenities, such as slippers or a toothbrush kit. At check-in I was told breakfast was included, then at checkout I was told I had to pay for it. I wouldn’t stay again, mainly because the price feels too high compared with similar hotels nearby.

Everyone on the team was amazing and always ready to help. This hotel gave me one of my loveliest experiences in Barcelona. I’m glad to be a member of all Accor hotels, and I’d definitely recommend visiting and enjoying the experience for yourself. Big thanks to the whole team. Cheers 🥂

Breakfast had a great range, including gluten-free options, and the staff were fantastic and helpful. The restaurant chef and reception team especially stood out. It’s a very convenient place to stay, with a metro station just a short walk away.

I picked this hotel for my 40th birthday, but on the day itself there wasn’t even a small acknowledgment from the hotel. That was surprising for an international chain. I’d stayed at a Mercure in Krakow before and expected the same quality and service, but this stay was significantly worse in every way. The room sofas had visible stains and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. Breakfast cutlery was often dirty, and the bins near reception were regularly overflowing. For a place rated four stars, these basic cleanliness and maintenance issues fell far short of what I expected. After this stay, I’m very unlikely to return to this hotel chain.
