I found the place far too expensive for what it offers. The rooms are tiny, and El Raval felt like a poor fit for students, with lots of tourists and pricey restaurants and bars. The food was alright, but the kitchen staff could be rude, especially to foreign students. You pay a lot, yet cleaning only comes by once a month and doesn’t do a thorough job. I’d look for an apartment on Idealista instead, for half the price, and cook for myself. That would also leave room in the budget to enjoy local restaurants rather than already paying so much for meal service.

My vacation mood was ruined by the receptionist, a man around 30 wearing glasses. He was very rude and aggressive, made remarks, and spoke to me as if he were the “King of the residence.” I was a paying client and expected to be treated like a guest, but he showed no respect. I wouldn’t recommend booking if he still works there.

The rooms looked nothing like the pictures, the toilets weren’t very clean, and the street was really noisy. The food was very low quality, too. People here don’t speak any language other than Spanish, so it’s not a good place to stay if you don’t speak it. Worst experience ever.

The bathroom in my room was tiny and dirty. There’s no sound insulation, so you can hear everything through the walls from other rooms, especially people showering at night. It was really noisy.
