Ronda Lesseps Hotel

From the warm welcome and attentive room service to the excellent restaurant hospitality and smooth departure arrangements, everything was handled with care, professionalism and genuine kindness. After a long travel day on the evening of 5/27, we still spent about 40 minutes waiting to check in, even though only two people were ahead of us. The front desk could probably use more staff. The room's AC was weak, too. Still, it was a comfortable stay, and NOVA is an easy walk away for good sushi. The lobby, restaurant and rooms were gorgeous, modern and clean.

We slept really well here. The hotel is quiet, and the residential area felt very safe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless, with daily cleaning and fresh bed linen after three nights. Our small ground-floor double was spacious enough and good value for Barcelona. Booking through the hotel's own website is cheaper. There was a kettle, fridge, safe and air conditioning, plus a complimentary bottle of water each day and a welcome drink at the bar. That's generous compared with other Barcelona hotels we've stayed in. Lesseps metro is less than a five-minute walk away. The pleasant walk through Gràcia to Diagonal takes about 30 minutes, passing independent shops, bars, cafés and pretty squares. We ate out every day, so can't comment on breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again. The leafy inner courtyard is lovely, and there's an interesting display case of motorbikes.

The interior room I had for the last two nights was clean, quiet and nice, and everything was fine there. The receptionists were kind and genuinely tried to help me, which I appreciated. But my three-night stay at Hotel Ronda for training left me with mixed feelings, since I really needed proper sleep. My first room had such extreme traffic noise that I had to ask to move in the middle of the night. I've stayed in plenty of hotels and can handle some noise, but this felt like sleeping next to a motorway. The hotel offered earplugs, but neither those nor my noise-cancelling headphones with music helped. As it was fully booked, I was moved to another room in the same area, one floor higher, and the noise was still nearly as bad. A room became available the next day, and I was moved to the quiet interior room for the rest of my stay. I understand reception couldn't change where the noisy rooms are, and I'm grateful for their efforts. Still, I strongly think the owner should stop offering those rooms or tell guests before booking just how noisy they are.
