Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa - Adults Only

The lounge for Preferred Club guests sounds like a good idea, but it wasn’t well thought through. There were no proper glasses for Cava or Baileys, so they were served in red wine glasses or teacups. Sandwiches had to be eaten out of bowls because there weren’t proper plates. Staff said the hotel was full and that was why items were missing, but that doesn’t fit a five-star hotel. Parking at 40 Euro a day also seems hard to justify when a rental car costs 40-45 Euro a day, even allowing for how hard it is to park in Paguera. The setting is hard to beat, right beside a small bay and a stretch of lovely sandy beach. I also liked the hotel's spirit and heritage, which goes back to the 1950s, with part of it in the old historic building. The facilities and garden were clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly.

The beach access was perfect, and there are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. We even walked to a Cala. The breakfast had plenty of variety, and the pool was clean with lots of loungers. We spent a few days here and got great service from the staff.

The room made our time in Mallorca a terrible experience. The air conditioning never cooled it enough for us to sleep, it was tiny, and there were cockroaches all over. I found one near my suitcase and more on my clothes. The room phone didn’t work either, so any time we had a problem we had to go to the front desk. The resort itself is nice, and the staff and location were good, but I’m being generous giving it two stars. I left really disappointed with Secrets Mallorca and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

This was my second stay, and I’ll definitely be back. We had a large room with incredible seafront views. The guest relations team helped make our friend's birthday special while we were there. The beachfront building is stunning, with lovely gardens, and all the staff were great and attentive.
