The concerts in the garden and the food made this stay feel special. It’s a peaceful guesthouse by the Ulla River, with a view of the old bridge near Santiago de Compostela. Paula Mendoza and her family give it a personal touch.

After cycling 80 km in blazing sun and climbing 1200 meters, we were too wiped out to explore Gres or say much about it. The hotel was just what we needed: a comfortable room, a lovely dinner, and friendly, helpful staff. We fell asleep to the calming sound of the river and felt completely revived.

We were 16 people there for cocido, and every bit of it was delicious. The portions were generous, the service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely river view.

The owner was so attentive and friendly when we celebrated our daughter Sabela's christening here. We loved the exceptional food and unbeatable service. It’s a beautiful, cozy spot surrounded by nature, with the Ulla River behind it. We’d definitely return.
