Apartamentos Blume Conde Aranda

If you’re planning to spend a month or so in Madrid, have a look at Blume Apartments. Carmen and her team are kind, responsive, and available around the clock. They put so much care into making people feel at home in their beautifully equipped units. We almost wanted to keep the place to ourselves.

The staff are great, especially the cleaning team. The mother and son are so professional, organized, and kind, they really make you feel at home. It’s in a great residential area of Madrid, and management is excellent.

I first stumbled across Apartamentos Blume more than three years ago and have come back at least 6-7 times. I spend about five months a year in Spain, and this has become my second home in Madrid. The neighborhood is my favorite, and the building is beautiful. The staff are always attentive, and you can reach them on WhatsApp. They also do a superb weekly clean and tell you well ahead of time when they’ll come. Inside, the apartments are comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The beds and linens are high quality, and the kitchen has what you need to cook. I love the tall doors that open onto little balconies and let in so much natural light. You get a sense of the place as soon as you pass through the iron gate on Conde de Aranda into the courtyard, then enter through the old doorway and marble staircase. Highly recommended for a longer stay.

The rooms are on the small side, but they’re fitted out really well, with very good beds and linens. The price is hard to beat, too. There are loads of restaurants and shops nearby, and you can walk to a dozen museums and major galleries, including MAPFRE and Caixa Forum. I especially recommend Cristina Oria across the street. A wonderful place to stay.
