Forever Young Apartments Puerta del Sol

Marina and Carlos at the front desk were tremendous ambassadors for the hotel, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. I arrived in Madrid early one morning exhausted, with seven hours to wait before my 2pm check-in. After just 30 minutes in the hotel cafe, Marina came down to tell me a room was ready. Music to my ears! The room was clean and comfortable, and the new hotel still sparkles. I also really liked the downstairs cafe, where coffee, water, and fresh fruit are free. The location alone would earn Hotel Puerta del Sol 5 stars from me. I'll definitely be back.

The one catch is that a private bathroom costs extra, since this is a Hostel. It didn't bother me during my stay because our shared bathroom served only one other room, and nobody was booked there for half the time I was there. Everything else was REALLY NICE: a lovely view, an unexpected balcony, and the best wifi signal and speed everywhere. Breakfast was simple but served very well, and the staff were helpful and receptive around the clock.

We'd definitely come back. Our room had an amazing terrace overlooking plaza del sol, a great spot to relax right in the city centre. The rooms were clean and the staff super nice. Breakfast was fine for this price range, and the place itself is really a great deal.

We slept without any disturbance in our room facing the Plaza. The hostal is very clean and a nice place to stay, with everything within walking distance. Breakfast is very simple, but there are plenty of other choices around. Perfect location, highly recommend it!
