The staff are really nice, and I liked the accent color choice in the rooms. The old-fashioned manual elevator is a unique experience, too. I just wish the bathroom had more space. Still, a great place to stay.

Online check-in and check-out saved us time. We were on the fourth floor, where the neighborhood noise was bearable. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the small balconies let in some fresh air. The location is amazing, right in the middle of everything, with famous monuments, food, drinks and shopping all around, day and night.

Reception kindly kept our luggage after checkout while we explored before our flight. The room was well appointed, with a good shower and a comfortable bed. There are small grocery shops and restaurants right outside, and most city restaurants and attractions are just a few minutes' walk away. Great value.

I felt safe and happy here as a woman traveling alone, and I'll definitely stay again on my next Madrid trip. The place was spotlessly clean, good value, in an excellent location, and had lovely staff. I stayed two nights. What a lovely find!

We had a great stay at Hostal Alexis and would consider coming back on our next trip. It's a great pick if you want to be right in the middle of the city's action, with easy access to all the attractions. If street noise bothers you, ask for a room that doesn't face the noisy street.
