We reported the theft to the police, but still haven’t had a response from the property. €500 was taken from our apartment. There were more valuable things there, so I guess they may have thought a smaller amount wouldn’t be noticed. Be aware.

About three weeks before our trip, the company emailed to say our apartment booking had been cancelled because of problems with the unit. I’d booked and paid in full months earlier for my family, and they didn’t offer another apartment in one of their buildings. I had to contact them several times just to find out what was going on. They suggested I find another rental, pay for it myself and send them the invoice to claim the difference. I’d already paid for a place I could no longer use, so I didn’t want to spend thousands more upfront and simply hope they’d reimburse me later. I asked for a full refund. It took several days, and the amount was about $50 short. They blamed exchange rates between the time I booked and the time they refunded me. I raised it with several people at Limehome, but they kept giving me the same answer, even though they had cancelled after holding the booking for months and hadn’t arranged a replacement. I was charged the exchange difference on a rental I wasn’t staying in. I also got a strange WhatsApp message weeks after my card had already been charged, asking for my banking details because the card supposedly hadn’t gone through. My bank confirmed the charge, and the company told me the message was a scam. It used their branding and knew all my details, which surprised me. I looked into the rentals myself and found that, as far as I could tell, they didn’t have the right licence to offer short stays on Airbandb or VRBO, even though that’s how they advertise. I understood the units were for longer-term living or working in the country, not tourism. Nobody apologised or offered help, and they were rude and dishonest about why they had cancelled. The whole thing felt shady and unprofessional. With little time to find somewhere else, I paid hundreds more as prices had gone up. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere. Don’t put this lime in your tequila. BOOOOOO Limehome.

Our apartment in the Salamanca district was clean and quiet, with enough space for four. Breakfast food was provided, the kitchen was fully equipped, and fresh bread arrived daily. The shower was nice and the water warmed up straight away. Internet was fast, too. Parking nearby costs 26€ a night.

Our family of five had a lovely stay. The room was quiet and beautiful, and the espresso machine made mornings brighter. They welcomed pets, cleaned daily, had staff who spoke multiple languages, and regularly topped up the fridge and snack bar.
