The bathroom was basic and cramped, and getting into the shower was awkward because the tub’s side was higher than usual in such a small space. We’d expected to pay by card, but were told cash was preferred. Other guests got the same message, which held up check-in.
The bed was unbelievably comfortable, better than some 5* hotels, and everything was spotlessly clean. I also liked how quiet it was. The building is old and shows its age, but the water pressure is excellent and hot water comes right away. The room itself is basic, and this isn’t a luxury stay. Still, it’s right in the middle of everything, so walking around is easy. For the price and convenience, I’d definitely stay again.
The rooms are on the small side, but they’re clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, and the location is great. Highly recommend.
Smoke from other rooms kept coming through, and it happened often. The smokers don’t seem to care about the place.
The hostal is really well located in Madrid. My room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. I recommend it.
