Vincci Soma is elegant and modern, yet comfortable and reasonably priced, in an outstanding location. The rooms and shared spaces are clean, stylish, and carefully designed. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh, high-quality food and a thoughtfully chosen range to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. It’s a great mix of price, quality, and experience. I’d recommend it to travelers looking for convenience, style, and good service without paying too much.

Great location, good staff and customer service, and I liked the breakfast and beds. The rooms, though, are dated and very noisy, with no soundproofing. The bathroom had mold and needs maintenance, and there’s no lobby seating area. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we arrived, so we got another code, but that stopped working on day two. It wasn’t reliable for work. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, so we requested the Chromecast mentioned in the room flyer. Maintenance came right away, but we still couldn’t get it to work.

The room had enough space that we weren’t tripping over our suitcase, and the location was right in the heart of Madrid, great for exploring on foot. Breakfast was a delicious spread, the sort that might turn you into a morning person. Some of the basics were frustrating. Housekeeping left the used coffee cup and empty sachets as they were, without replacing them. For a taxi, reception just pointed us toward the street and wished us luck. The shower had an old plastic curtain that kept sticking to me, and getting soap from the wall dispenser felt like a fight. I nearly had to break a finger to get one drop out.

I worked from the hotel for about five days and had no trouble at all. The Wi-Fi was fast enough for lots of video calls, and the guest library was fairly comfortable, though it was sometimes booked for events. Staff were helpful, and it was very convenient to leave our luggage there before check-in and after check-out. The rooms are basic, but well lit, clean, and comfortable, with a small fridge. The restaurant area is beautiful, though it doesn’t really match the rooms. They’ll clean the room and replace towels daily unless you ask them not to. For environmental reasons, we chose to have this done on just one of our five days.
