Hotel Rosa Nautica

The pool was great, though there were a few little rocks at the bottom and it could use a clean. Still, it was good value for money. The hotel was clean, and the food had lots of options, including vegetarian and kid-friendly choices. My kids loved the mini club, thanks to Marina and Daniella.

During our stay in early April, a reception staff member directed a racist slur at my son, calling him a “monkey”. It was shocking and deeply offensive. I immediately raised it with another staff member, who tried to defend the behaviour instead of dealing with it properly. I confronted the person who said it, but there was no admission of wrongdoing, apology, or remorse. The way this was handled was completely unacceptable. No guest should be treated this way, and the staff’s lack of accountability made it worse. I’m extremely disappointed and distressed, and urge the hotel to take this seriously and address it properly.

The food was amazing, always fresh and delicious. Our room was spacious and quiet, and got cleaned every day. The location worked perfectly for us, close to the beach, promenade, and local attractions. It’s barely a five-minute walk to the train station, with Barcelona just over an hour away. The staff were kind and flexible. Special mention to the smiling, blonde, curly-haired lady at reception. We’ll definitely come back and stay here again.

We were about a five-minute walk from the station, which was handy for trips to other coastal towns and Barcelona. Breakfast and dinner were included, and there was plenty of choice each time. The pool area had lots of loungers, the drinks were cheap, and the pours were anything but small. A few times we were served what must have been quadruple measures. There’s live music some evenings. We’d booked a sea-view room and got a free upgrade to a superior sea-view room. It was great, and the bed was made every day. The view was really nice. The only small drawbacks were no hot water from the sink tap and the sound of trains passing. If you sleep deeply or don’t mind that kind of noise, you’ll be fine.
