Hostal Arco Plaza

The terrace overlooking the plaza was a lovely surprise, with plenty of room to sit and have food or drinks we brought ourselves. Jose Manuel was incredibly kind and helpful when unforeseen circumstances meant we had to push our trip back by a week. The rooms were lovely and cleaned daily. The location makes it easy to reach the bars, restaurants and little boutiques, and the bus stop is just two minutes away for trips to the Playa or further afield. Parking is free and easy at the swimming pool, but check the market day, usually Wednesday, since you need to move your car before 5am. There’s also parking at Plaza Rey Alabez where you don’t have to move it.

There were thoughtful little touches around the hotel, and the seating area outside our room with its small wine fridge was just right. Our room had a terrace overlooking the main square. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and showed us to the room. We also had fabulous crepes at la Esquinita. 😋

The balcony looked over the plaza, with lovely views of the mountains and sea, and there was a table and chairs outside where we could sit and watch people. Inside, the room was simple and practical, with a comfortable bed, fresh white cotton sheets, air conditioning and a double glazed door. It was clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The hospitality was wonderful, and we got glasses, a bottle opener and a map showing good places to eat and buy wine. Reception had a lovely Spanish feel, with pretty floral paintings and tiles. Booking was easy, and the staff spoke English. We loved the peaceful town, with its cafes, restaurants and small shops, and we’ll be staying again soon and recommending it to others. 🥂🍾🌞💗👍😍
