Coral beach house & food

If you want to be near the nightlife, this is a good option. Hotel Coral is close to the “German” District, so expect parties and noise past midnight. The balcony doors are well glazed, which helps keep the noise down. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and breakfast is good enough that I’d recommend adding it. There’s Wi-Fi, a bus stop nearby for Palma, and air conditioning costs extra.

The staff were nice, and the hotel is right in the German district among bars and restaurants. But at €100 a night, it feels too expensive for what you get. Nearby four-star hotels offer much better facilities for only twice the price. The bed was far too soft and hurt my back. The sheet was stained and looked worn out, and the bathroom was tiny and badly in need of renovation. It’s ridiculous that there’s no air conditioning these days.

The location is awesome and the hotel itself is good, but June brought lots of young, noisy tourists, along with the sound of the surrounding bars. One thing to know: using the air conditioning costs an extra 8 euros per night, which isn’t a usual way of doing it.

The room was clean enough, but really small, and the fan didn’t work, which was a problem. This feels like the kind of place you’d expect in a party area. Probably not the best choice if you want to relax, though it should be fine if you’re here to party.
