The beds weren’t especially comfortable, and the rooms are fairly small, though the bathrooms are spacious by comparison and in good shape. That wasn’t a big issue for us since we were mostly out exploring. The hotel is well maintained and reasonably priced for the quality. Hotel Tres is in a hard-to-beat spot, just minutes from the cathedral, harbor, and good food and drink. We enjoyed relaxing in both the courtyard and the rooftop pool area, which has views of the cathedral and water. Staff were friendly and helpful with check-in and recommendations, and the complimentary breakfast was a great addition. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful, perfectly located, and most of the service was great, but a few things left me really upset. I’ve never written a bad hotel review before, but I had to speak up. They charged me $366 for two bags of laundry, and the second bag wasn’t even half full. The front desk guy didn’t warn me about how expensive it would be. I saw the rates, but didn’t realize how quickly the cost would add up, and I added items that had no price listed. If I worked there, I’d point guests toward more affordable options instead of just smiling and saying laundry was available. On top of that, the laundry service burned holes in all my underwear. It left a terrible taste in my mouth. One young employee was rude and had an attitude. I told him he seemed stressed, and he said he was sick. Then he coughed and sneezed, didn’t wash his hands, and handed me a water bottle. I later saw him working in the kitchen each morning, still coughing and sneezing without covering his mouth or washing his hands afterward. Don’t have sick employees come in and risk getting guests ill, especially when they’re in a bad mood too. That’s not how hospitality should work.

The location of Petit Palace Hotel Tres is fantastic, but the team made the stay special. Gualina welcomed us with a big smile and kindly handled our luggage by herself. Alaan took time to help us plan our days and explore Palma with great local tips, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. They were both amazing.

The standard rooms were disappointing: dark and tiny, overlooking a very narrow, dark little patio. They didn’t feel like four-star rooms to me, more like three-star. I’d suggest choosing a room at least one level above standard. The location is excellent, central and close to attractions and the sea. Breakfast was really nice, with lots of options, especially for someone with a sweet tooth like me. There’s also a small sauna on the terrace with a great view of the cathedral. The staff were kind and helpful.
