They kept €50 of our deposit even though we hadn't broken or stolen anything. They said it was because the place was dirty, but gave no breakdown of the amount, and decided it themselves. Their pictures, which I've attached, were completely incomprehensible. I thought a business should expect some dirt after a stay of a month or more. A deposit should be for something deliberately broken, not this level of dirt. They expect guests to clean in the short time they allow, even though the property and service weren't in perfect condition when we arrived. Honestly, cleaners who can't tolerate this degree of mess don't seem very good at their jobs. The way they make money seems to be advertising a low starting price, perhaps because otherwise people wouldn't book given the low ratings, then refusing to return down payments for unreasonable reasons. They also charge what I found to be an excessively high electricity rate, roughly 0.35 kW, and extra for bed linen and other things guests may assume are included. They didn't return my €50, so be careful, they won't give it back if you don't insist. Checkout was at 10 am, which is usually noon in Spain. In more than 30 accommodations, this is the first time I've had a 10 am checkout. Since we were staying a long time, we didn't have much time to pack our things. After we booked, they also asked me to cancel because of their own scheduling mismanagement. The Wi-Fi was very slow from the start, caused problems for us, and took a long time to fix. A shelf door handle had come off, the ventilation fan didn't work even when switched on, and there wasn't enough electricity for a charger.
