I went back and forth on this place. It had some good points, but I definitely wouldn't return. For the price, I expected a bit more. The bungalow was quite nice, with a great view, a well-sized kitchen and a drying area for sports and swimming gear, which was a big plus for us. The hot tub was another bonus. It was quiet and in a lovely spot, with no loud noise except on the day they repaired the pool heater. Having two rooms was ideal for us, and that's hard to find. There's a supermarket and commercial centre nearby, the wild beaches are easy to reach on foot, and the area feels fairly residential. Cleaning was a real letdown. It was Easter break, but the promised cleaning every 5 days never happened. When they did come, the job was poor: rubbish stayed in the bin, dust covered everything, the terrace wasn't cleaned and the floor was barely done. The pool was ice cold for the first few days. I overheard the maintenance team talking about the solar heater not working. They fixed it, and after that the pool was okay, though not warm. Our hot tub also broke and had no cover until the last day, so there was a horrible pile of dead floating ladybirds whenever you wanted to use it. Reception was often closed during its already limited hours. They took our key as we were leaving and locked us inside the complex. The entry code was immediately deleted from our WhatsApp, and when I ran to reception, it had closed early again. We had to use the emergency exit or miss our taxi to the airport.

Las Coloradas, where the aparthotel is, felt like the most stylish and peaceful part of Playa Blanca. The place itself was very clean, cozy and quiet. It's not quite near the city centre, but a local bus leaves from in front of the hotel every 30 minutes and takes 10 minutes to reach the centre. There are also two good supermarkets nearby, and the beautiful natural beaches are a short walk along the cliffs.

A lovely, relaxing place to stay. The bungalow was spotless and nicely presented, and the reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. It's easy to take public transport to Play Blanca centre, or briskly walk the coastal path in about twenty minutes.

The two-bedroom apartment was a good size, and the rooms were very clean in a safe, secure setting. We were happy with our stay, and communication was all through WhatsApp. The pool was lovely, and private parking is available. There's an electric charging point too. We rented a car and I think you'll need one to get around. I wouldn't want to be stuck in this particular area for a week, but it's a great location for a rental if you want space and a car park.
