Apartamentos Ruliña

For a two-bedroom apartment, this was great value. It has lots of personality and was equipped for a really comfortable stay, with generous inclusions. Being right above a supermarket was very convenient too.

This was the best place we’ve stayed on the Camino so far. Marina was lovely and very helpful, and the apartment was amazing.

The owner was absolutely lovely, and the place really is as charming as the website says. Nothing was missing: the kitchen was fully equipped with a toaster and capsule coffee machine, and there were several kinds of coffee capsules, hot chocolate, pastries, and even cold beers in the fridge. Five of us fit into the two bedrooms and sofa bed. I highly recommend it!

The owners met us when we arrived, handed over the keys, and showed us around. Finding the apartment took a little effort because it’s in a residential building and didn’t show up on Google Maps. We called the number from the booking site; asking for the Covirán supermarket on Miño Street should also help with directions. The place felt warm as soon as we came in, with white and wood decor that reminded me of IKEA. By the entrance there’s space for shoes and coats, plus a mirror. The open kitchen has plenty of equipment and supplies: a Nespresso machine with cookies, coffee, hot chocolate mix and sweeteners nearby, along with a toaster, fridge, freezer, oven, induction cooktop and extractor, microwave, sink, grill, and dishwasher. The fridge had beer, milk, margarine, plum jam, Nutella, and honey. Plates, glasses, cups, stemware, cutlery, napkins, placemats, a cutting board, and dish rack were there too. The dining area has a white table, four chairs, and a small bench. Across from the entrance is the living room, with a four-seat sofa, coffee table, TV, and a cabinet of games including Uno, chess, checkers, and a Rubik’s Cube. There are two sliding doors off the main space. One opens to the laundry room, with a washing machine, detergent, fabric softener, and a clothesline with pegs. Beside it is a blue-toned bedroom with a large wardrobe holding sheets, blankets, and other useful things, as well as a big white mirror, TV, bedside tables with lamps, and a comfortable bed. The other door leads to a second double bedroom and a lovely modern bathroom with a shower. The owners had left conditioner, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, towels, a hairdryer with diffuser, an electric straightening comb, and fragrances. We were there in summer and didn’t need the heating, but it’s available.
