The area was a real plus: there's a decent-sized grocery store downstairs, and plenty of good, local tapas bars just a few blocks away. I ate at Grand Central, Oslo, La Fresa, and Juana Brava, and liked them all. Dinner here costs less, so there's no need to head downtown to eat well. The historic center is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. I stayed eight nights in a single room. It was compact but had what I needed, including a desk, plenty of closet space, good WiFi, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and the hot water worked well. It was quiet apart from the sound of people in the hallway. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful.

I canceled my February 4 to February 24 booking on January 17, while free cancellation was still available. Even so, Hotel Aragon charged €50 to my account in December, and I still haven't received it back despite trying to contact them several times. Customer service hasn't sorted it out either. I expect the full amount refunded to my bank account or the card I used. The way this has been handled feels unprofessional, and the service has been poor. I wouldn't recommend the hotel. If I get my money back, I'll delete this review.

The husband-and-wife managers were so lovely and made everything easy. They were amazing with our daughter. The hotel was clean, lovely, and had everything we needed for our overnight stop on the way to Bilbao. We'd happily stay again if we're in the area, and would recommend it.

The hallway carpet smelled bad, and the rooms felt old and gloomy. There was barely any heating and no hot water. They say check-in is available from 2 pm, but nobody was there when we arrived.

I was entitled to a refund, but they never paid it, and I've been left out of pocket. Don't trust this hotel.
