Room Mate Collection Gorka, San Sebastián

We were really glad we chose Room Mate GORKA for our 2 night stay. The bed and pillows were the best of our trip, and the loft was quiet with excellent soundproofing, even during Saint Sebastian day. We originally booked a double room with a lovely square view, then with the team's help upgraded to the larger loft suite for just 10 euro per night. Widad was patient, kind, and helpful, a real ambassador, as were the other staff we met. Check-in was smooth, and the welcome chocolate and amenities were lovely. The smart TV worked perfectly for a Netflix movie on the 50” screen. The shower was great, and the amenity kit had quality products with scents that weren't overpowering, which suited us. At checkout, the woman at the front desk, whose name I can't recall, stored our bags and arranged a taxi, making the change to our next destination easy. San Sebastián lived up to the hype, with its beauty, safety, culture, and food, and Room Mate GORKA added to our stay. Thank you!

When the airport lost our luggage, the team kept replying to our messages and helped us follow its status until it arrived. They were incredibly supportive. They were also patient about explaining parking and gave us fantastic local food recommendations. Our stay at Room Mate Gorka was wonderful, and the staff's kindness and professionalism made it the best hotel service we've had in Europe. We can't thank them enough.

The staff were lovely and happy to answer questions or suggest restaurants, and the hotel is ideally placed for exploring San Sabastian on foot, just minutes from the beach and old town. We had a duplex room in December. It was really comfortable and clean, with a window that opened, which was nice for letting in fresh air when the weather was cold and a bit wet. Breakfast was a good start, with a decent spread of local food, pastries, fruit, and even a bloody mary station. We'd stay again.

The team made us feel really special for our wedding anniversary, with welcome wine and a handwritten note. They were attentive and had plenty of local recommendations. This beautiful boutique hotel sits in the heart of San Sebastian, handy for La Concha Beach and Old Town, and we loved coming back there each evening. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with a steamer, pillow menu, and luxury dyson hairdryer. Our holiday was so memorable that we'd gladly return. A 10/10 hotel, thank you.
