Hostal Oleo Auto Check-in

We had paid and had a reservation, but couldn't get into the accommodation. When we arrived, the owners and staff didn't answer our calls or several messages. They gave us no refund or voucher.

The bar downstairs was excellent, and the owner was lovely and flexible about check-in and check-out. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the stay was especially good value, better than I expected. It worked really well for Nueva Montaña. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We were left without a room despite having booked well ahead and already paid. We'd called in the afternoon to check everything was fine, then arrived around 10 pm exhausted from a full day of travel, only to find our reservation on their screen and still be refused entry. Staff questioned everything we told them. After about 50 calls, Booking.com finally found us another hotel. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. A complete disgrace.

What made this especially troubling was the hotel's response. Booking.com confirmed that they wouldn't take responsibility, and their handling of it felt completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We had booked and paid a week ahead, and even called about three hours before arrival to make sure all was in order. They assured us it was, then told us on arrival that there was no room for us. Leaving guests stranded with a paid reservation and refusing responsibility is irresponsible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
