Ikos Porto Petro All inclusive Hotel

The service was impeccable and the amenities were amazing. We came from the States for our honeymoon in early June, our first all inclusive. There were definitely lots of kids, but we didn't mind much. The rooms were great, though on windy nights the glass made a loud noise. Food was the reason this didn't get five stars. It was just okay, and with an all inclusive stay you're pretty locked into it, which matters a lot to me. We tried everything except the Italian restaurant. The Greek one was best. Dinner by the sea was completely inedible, and room service was bad too. I couldn't get a salad with fresh lettuce.

What a disappointment. The location is incredible, but the execution is poor. At 1k a night, expectations are high. The gym was great, the tennis coach amazing, Eduardo from Spa fantastic, and the Asian restaurant was good. Those are the reasons I'm giving two stars instead of one. The resort is very kid friendly, and my friends' child liked it, though he's not the one paying. There’s a huge gap in professionalism and knowledge between employees. You might meet one of the best people, then have to ask four times on WhatsApp and twice by phone just to get a dental kit. They have a lot to work on. The rooms' design and quality are extremely average. I do this for a living, and the TV isn't centered, the cables aren't hidden, and the material choices are disappointing. They should hire me to redesign the rooms.

The spa was a highlight, especially being so close to the beach. A refreshing sea swim followed by the sauna was pure bliss. Ikos Porto Petro is beautifully maintained and feels thoughtfully put together. Every restaurant had great variety and consistently high quality, and the place is very kid friendly, which made the stay relaxing and easy for us. Ikos simply rocks. Another one we can highly recommend!

The setting was the real draw for us, lovely views and a spot that doesn't feel overly touristy. Porto Petro is a small, pleasant town, and an easy walk from the resort, with good local bars and restaurants. We travelled to meet family and had three rooms between us, one Deluxe and two Standard. The airport transfer was excellent, about a 50-minute scenic drive. Our Standard room worked perfectly for two adults and a child, and both the food and service were great. We loved it and hope to return.
