Pensión Albergue A Pedra

The house had a nice atmosphere, and the bathrooms with showers were spacious and private. My friend and I paid €15 each for dorm beds and ended up with what felt like a private room, since nobody took the other bed. Rooms have up to four beds. The kitchen was usable but had no chopping board, salt, or cooking oil, and the knives were blunt. The host wasn’t especially welcoming, but, well, we got a private room for €30.

A single room with its own toilet, really good value for money. There’s a well-equipped kitchen for cooking, and it’s a 5-6 minute walk from the Albergue to the town center and supermarket.

The rooms are small, only around four people, and the garden is gorgeous even in the rain. There’s a cozy kitchen, plus a washing machine and dryer, €4 for a wash and €1 for 11 minutes of drying. You can also get a lovely five-minute foot massage for €2 from the massage machine. The place is attached to a cafe/bar, but the albergue isn’t above it, so we didn’t hear any bar noise. When we arrived, the heating was blazing, a bit too much at times, but it felt nice after being out in the downpour. The hosts greeted us just as warmly. It’s always a joy to stay somewhere clearly run by people who’ve been pilgrims themselves. We chose this place based on the reviews, and they were right. Highly recommend!

The owner was so thoughtful and kind when I was having a particularly bad day on my first of two evenings there. The shared first room has a very cute fireplace and sofa, and right next door is a great kitchen and an adorable garden. After a long day, sitting outside with a beer in the cool evening sun was just right. Even in the rain, we sat under the umbrella and enjoyed each other’s company. There’s a nice bathroom too, and a dining table with leaflets that expands to be really large. 10/10, I recommend staying here.
