Apartamentos Sevilla Palace

The location made it easy to get to the Torre del Oro, Setas Sevillas, and Cathedral de Seville, with a Carrefour almost next door for groceries. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and better than we expected. In the blazing Spanish summer, having AC was such a relief after some terrible hostel stays in Portugal. The kitchen had enough equipment for breakfast, and it was great to have laundry facilities. The coffee machine didn't work at first, but the staff replied quickly on WA and fixed it right away.

The accommodation was perfectly nice, just as described, and in a great location. Booking was awkward, though, and I’d have been better off using Booking.com even with the slightly higher advertised price. I was charged an extra 11 euros for payment in the wrong currency through local conversion. I hadn’t chosen that option, and it ended up costing more than paying on Booking.com.

The clean sheets turned out to be dirty too, and by then it was too late to do anything, so we just stayed. Earlier, most of the cups we found when we wanted to make tea were dirty, and there was a lot of hair in the bed when we got ready to sleep. We contacted the staff, but he only spoke Spanish. He eventually came with a bag of clean sheets, took a photo of the bed, and left, so we had to make it ourselves. Then at 10:30 the next morning, a cleaner opened our door and walked in while we were asleep. Checkout wasn't until noon, and we woke up in shock. We chose this place because Booking.com had so many perfect reviews, but clearly not everyone has a good stay. I hope nobody else has this experience.

Cockroaches everywhere for three days straight. When I asked about a refund, they ignored me. We won't stay there again.
