Catedral Boutique

Visible mold around the windows and behind the closet made the room unsafe and unsanitary for my wife, who has respiratory problems and couldn’t stop coughing. We documented the mold with photos below and had to find somewhere else to stay. We asked to be charged for the 1 day we’d spent in the room and refunded for the remaining 2 nights. When we reported it, staff didn’t offer another room, despite now claiming they did. The only “solution” was cleaning the next morning, which wouldn’t have dealt with the mold. After we contacted the hotel and booking customer service, our refund request was rejected. The hotel then tried to rewrite what happened, denying there was mold and falsely claiming we’d refused a room change. This gaslighting is unacceptable. Leaving wasn’t a “personal preference”, it was a direct response to unsafe and unsanitary conditions. The hotel’s attempt to deny reality and shift blame onto guests shows a disturbing lack of accountability. We strongly advise others to avoid this property.

You can’t see anything from the room, but it was clean, though the bathroom less so. The neighborhood is very good, right next to the Cathedral. It felt very strange that there was no reception. We never saw any staff at all.

I booked the wrong day by accident and realized it straight away. I asked immediately if I could change the date, but got no reply. After trying repeatedly and hearing nothing for days, I booked somewhere else. Now I’m stuck paying for a room I can’t use because they wouldn’t change my booking. Their customer service was really disappointing, and the whole thing is absolutely ridiculous.

The staff were always readily available to answer my questions, and the room was clean and a good size. Such an incredible location! I’d definitely recommend it.
