The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the WiFi was fast and steady. The location is excellent, close to a bus stop and an easy walk from the city center. Reception staff spoke only Spanish, but managed to communicate with texts and Google Translate. Our street-facing room was noisy late into the night. The old, damaged windows let in outside noise and didn’t seal the gaps properly. The room cleanliness could have been better too: the floors needed mopping, and the sheets and towels could have been whiter and stain-free. For two nights, the price was similar to other hotels we visited in southeast Spain in the same bracket, though a little above average, and the central location alone didn’t justify that extra cost.

The owner’s service was impeccable, which is why I’m giving this 5 stars, even though the place itself needs some maintenance. It’s a comfortable hostel where you can relax. The facilities are a bit dated, but quite comfortable, and the cleaning service is impeccable. It’s also near Seville’s best central areas. The complaints I’ve read here seem unfair to me, given the hostel’s affordable price, as if people expect a luxury suite. I’ll definitely return and plan to recommend it.

The rooms are run-down and old-looking, and a water leak in the bathroom was never fixed. We found a cigarette butt on the floor and smelled tobacco, which was strange since there was no cleaning service. Reception service wasn’t very good either. The place is well located in the heart of Seville, near restaurants and supermarkets, but I wouldn’t recommend it. There’s no elevator, so it’s not suitable for families with children, elderly guests, or people with reduced mobility. Reception closes at 9 pm, and each guest has a key to the main entrance, which didn’t make us feel very confident.

The welcome and customer service were nonexistent, and we paid almost twice the current rate, €42/day. Even that seemed too much after seeing the place. Compared with the clean, welcoming rooms we had in Granada and Cordoba, where we also spent less, this hotel is one to avoid. Calling the maintenance terrible hardly covers it: loose floor tiles, peeling walls, furniture that looked old even in the 1970s, and window frames patched with old adhesive film, with gaps as wide as a finger. There’s no elevator. The bathroom had a constantly leaking toilet, a shower curtain held up by rusty pipes, and exposed fluorescent lighting above the mirror.

This place spoiled the worst day of our 10-day Spanish holiday. We’d emailed to ask for early check-in, but they ignored the request and left us waiting outside for hours, as if we were dirt. The manager was very grumpy and didn’t speak any English. There’s no elevator, cleanliness was mediocre, the bathroom flooded when we showered, and the blankets smelled awful. Don’t choose this place.
