The staff were very nice and the service was great, but I can’t give a full 5/5 because the room wasn’t the one I’d booked. I requested a queen bed and got a double bed instead. I’m also pretty sure the room I reserved was better than the one we were given. We did arrive at midnight, but the room had already been paid for.
We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant surprise of a property. It seems mainly set up for business guests, with a large lounge and a small pool, but the staff were kind and the room had all sorts of amenities, even wine bottles thrown in. I’d recommend it if you want a four-star stay without paying crazy money or staying in a strictly touristic area. Just keep in mind you’ll need to sort out your own parking.
The rooms were really spacious and had all the amenities we needed. There are lots of places to eat and shop nearby, bus stops close by, and the main railway station is within walking distance. Everyone welcomed us, and a special thanks to Juan at the front desk when we checked in. It was an excellent stay.
The continental breakfast was really nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful where they could be. The rooms were basic but clean, though they lacked some things I’d expect from a four-star place, like tea and coffee facilities. They only leave complimentary water on the first day, too. It’s about a half-hour walk to the main centre, a bit farther than we expected. The stay was nice and cheap, so we were satisfied, but honestly I’d take a star off since I don’t think it’s a genuine four-star hotel.
The hotel charges premium prices for what felt like a low-budget experience. We paid €150 per night for two nights in a triple room at Hotel Virgen de los Reyes in Seville, and it was a complete waste of money. There’s no restaurant, just a bar or cafeteria, and they were only serving churros for dinner. For a proper meal, you have to go elsewhere. The Wi-Fi barely worked throughout our stay, so it was difficult to get work done or even browse. The room had no kettle, tea, or coffee, and they didn’t replenish the drinking water after the first night. When we arrived, the beds weren’t made and there were no blankets on them. We had to find the blankets and make the beds ourselves. The beds were uncomfortable, and the safe used an old fashioned physical key instead of a digital code. Thin, see-through curtains covered the windows, with no blackout curtains for privacy or sleeping in. The night receptionist was incredibly rude when we raised our concerns. This place lacked basic hospitality, modern standards, and reliable service. Between the poor food options, rude treatment, and barely working Wi-Fi, it wasn’t worth the money or the trouble.
